Insisting on your mistakes is mendacious
Ibrahim M Mead ,Political analyst

Let me say a small prayer for the Mother first:
“I say this prayer, not for my self. I pray for my
country men and women. I pray for the countr y of
Somaliland that stretches corner to corner for peace and
justice. For sanity and sincerity, for courage to say
“we made mistakes, mistakes are made, we will correct
them with out fear and with out shame. They made
mistakes .Horrible ones they made, but the doers must
confess that and then correct them! That will be a win,
win situation for all of us.
A brother from the Political Parties Registration
Commission Mr. Hassan Macalim was defending fraud and
injustice. Did he know he was doing just that!?
Did he know that by defending the wrong, he was for the
demise of the hopes and aspirations of Somaliland
unconsciously perhaps?
All I know is that he was defending the indefensible,
the injustice and the government’s malfea sance, and that
is wrong!
Hassan Macalin is not the culprit, his employer is,
however he and his group-the Registration C ommission are
accessories to this problem of national dimension.
He deliberately insisted to defend the indefensible! He
put him self in a position like he was def ending
injustice! Boor brother, he wronged him self! “Thalama nafsahuu”
All I can say to him and to the commission is ‘people
are kind to the animals, you were not kind to your
country!’
The infamous, misguided and partial decision in
classifying political parties in to winners and lose rs
according to their yard stick before any voting took
place; this mindless act is a knock out to the growing
democracy and fairness for all! This is a way forward to
Somalia-zing Somaliland in our watch! This is not
acceptable as far as the people are concerned.
Terrorizing the peaceful people with heavy weapons will
not work. It did not work in
Siyad Bar e’s time. This
move on the part of the government was unseemly! It
ought to be stopped on its track.
What the guy form the commission of infamy did not say
is more important than what he said:
1- He did not mention that the “Madaxtaabasho” exercise
does not conform the democratic wa y of concluding who
won and who lost. It is the ballot, the vote of the
people and not the heads of the people that counts as
the ultimate verdict of the people.
2- He did not mention that they counted (if they
precisely counted) the same heads again and again, where
ever they moved (three regions moved more heads than
others!)
3- He did not tell us that they were just executing the
orders given to them by some people wh o are high in Sillanyo’s administration in reaching their false
conclusion.
It is the vote of the people and not the heads of the
people that count. That is what prevails in a democracy
Targeting particular communities and particular
personalities is like targeting the existence of
Somaliland. Vindictive politics ought to be stopped. It
will not work!
4- The guy in question misguidedly attacked some of the
Somaliland Media out lets which unlike the Party
Registration Commission, served Somaliland honorably and
that is wrong as well.
Peace and prayers
