We the Somaliland communities any where and every where show our
gratitude and appreciation to your government as well as your
personal effort in aiding where aid is due.
Somaliland is appreciative to the pledge your government has ear
marked for her.
We believe it was due and we believe it is the right thing to do on
your part.
What is overdue is the recognition of Somaliland! we hope your
government will take the next step where others may follow you
As you may well know, Somaliland did not break from any country.
Somaliland withd rew her ill-intended, ill-fated union with Somalia,
from Somalia in 1991 after she sur vived an ethnic cleansing
from the hands of Siyad Barre's regime of Somalia in cons
ultation with All the Communities in Somaliland and with their
consent and consensus in the city of Burao, Somaliland That was
followed by a Referendum. The act of recall was in effect
immediately thereafter. the Rights of the self determination of the
peo ple of Somaliland like any other people were declared there!
We thank you and your government again
