AU Commission Strongly Condemns The Terrorist Attacks In Somaliland

THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE AU COMMISSION STRONGLY
CONDEMNS THE TERRORIST ATTACKS I N SOMALILAND AND PUNTLAN (SOMALIA

The Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union (AU), Mr. Jean

Ping, has just learnt of the wave of car-bombings in the two Somali regions of

Somaliland , which have killed dozens of people.

The Chairperson strongly condemns these terrorist attacks, which came at

a time of renewed efforts by IGAD, the AU and the United Nations to bring about

lasting peace, security and reconciliation in Somalia. He reiterates AU's

determination to continue to do whatever it can to support the peace efforts in Somalia.
