On behalf of the Somaliland Government and its people, I wish to extend to you our heartfelt congratulations on your election as the president of French Republic.

Your election demonstrates the confidence that the French people have in your lead ership. It is my hope that during your term in office, we shall continue to work toget her towards strengthening the friendly relations between our two nations. Within th e region, we will continue to enhance peace, progress and democracy.
