CALL FROM SOMALILAND WATCH GROUP Date: December 1, 2012 Firstly we are congratulating the people and the government of Somaliland who made democratic elections happened in Somaliland Republic for the 5th time in her contemporary history, but the first time in Siilanyo’s government’s tenure. We are also calling and at the same time warning (all) the contested political parties as well as the government (which is not impartial here but part of the contesting parties as they call Kulmiye, the government party and Wadani, the party of the chairman of the House of Representatives) not to wreck the peace and the harmony of the people of Somaliland, as well as the stability of the whole region It is particularly and squarely incumbent upon the government not to belittle the consequences of unfair and rigid elections. Somaliland has been in this road before and successfully survived we hope and prey that Somaliland will surpass this undertaking, this time as well. Here some thing is not right. a) The executive branch owns and supported Kumiye party! b) The head of the legislative branch that is intertwined and interwoven with the executive branch owns and by virtue of that is the head of Wadani party! The people are watching the world is watching
