HOUSTON --Multi-client Somaliland survey available from TGS-NOPEC

Processing and interpretation of two new multi-client Somaliland projects now are available from TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Co.

Offshore, the project included 5,300 km (3,293 mi) of 2D seismic, gravity, and magnetic data. High-resolution aeromagnetic data was collected onshore.

Done in partnership with the Somaliland Ministry of Water and Mineral Resources, the purpose was to define structures and allow for development of leads, plays, and highs for further investigation.

The survey coincides with Somaliland's first licensing round which began in February. The bid area covers eight blocks totaling more than 89,624 sq km (34,604 sq mi) offshore and onshore.
